Putin & Assad: Thugs In Harmony

George Zimmerman was arrested for threatening his wife with a gun. This happened in Florida.

So the question isn’t related to guilt. The question is related to skin color.

If she’s a white woman, Zimmerman is toast. Otherwise, on the Peninsula of Insanity, otherwise known as Florida, Zimmerman is free to go, since it’s open season on unarmed minorities.

There’s no story here. Move along. Please move along.

Syria is open to the deal on turning over Chemical Weapons proposed by Russia – not the UN, not the US – Russia, which is fine. You have to let people relate on the level they’re comfortable relating.

Bashar al-Assad is comfortable with Vladimir Putin. Kim Jung Un is comfortable with Dennis Rodman.

Anthony Weiner is comfortable making everyone else uncomfortable.

There’s no story here. Move along. Please move along.

Michelle Obama opposes war in Syria. So does the Senate. So does the House of Representatives. So does British Parliament. So does 48% of the American People.

The real problem here isn’t war. The real problem here isn’t a Congressional Resolution supporting war. The real problem here is Neocons can no longer pin President Obama as “Leading From Behind.”

They can’t criticize leadership abroad. They can’t criticize leadership at home.

They can’t criticize leadership as it relates to deficits. They can’t criticize leadership as it relates to affordable care. They can’t criticize leadership as it relates to the G20. They can’t criticize leadership as it relates to building consensus among the International Community. They can’t criticize leadership as it relates to standing-up for human rights. They can’t criticize leadership as it relates to putting America’s best foot forward and showing the world who we are, what we stand for and how far we’re willing to go based on who we are and what we stand for.

So the question isn’t related to leadership. The question is related to skin color.

There’s no story here. Move along. Please move along.

It’s increasingly impossible to care. It’s increasingly impossible to get worked up. It’s increasingly impossible to take the opposition seriously.

Domestically, they’ve been reduced to a joke. Internationally, they’ve been exposed as thugs. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good joke. I like a good thug. Especially at a comedy festival. Or on stage in a rap song.

But on the world stage, with 2-million refugees and 5-million homeless, the act has grown tired.

They can always criticize and they are. The Republican senators and congressmen can’t stop criticizing the President. “How we are no long respected in the world”, “how he makes us less safe”. Yada yada yada! Short memories. They forget how the world felt about us under Dubya! They forget how much we lost in blood and treasure! For all their untrue rhetoric, the USofA is still the place the world wants to come to. And this too shall pass!
